  • Five percent profits growth for GE, but drop in organic revenue

    On Friday, General Electric Co surprised analysts by reporting a 5 percent rise in quarterly profits for the first part of 2016. However the company's organic revenue fell 1 percent, causing some to question whether GE could meet its full year revenue goals. But GE insisted that it would be able to meet its goal of 2 percent to 4 percent revenue increase. But analysts are now saying that 4 percent growth is too aggressive and can't be met with the current slow in the world economy.
